Fateless Walk

The walk where there is no end if you do not have a destination

People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.

Amnesia

The snow drifted blankly down

The street lamp overhead dimmed by the snow’s complex design

I stand staring aimlessly into the dusk

Eyes focused on nothing, there is nothing

This spot is the center of town

Bustling with energy, everyone in their own world

The snow landed on my nose sending sparks to my brain

Gone like the wet snow it slid off my face and landed near my shoe

Melted.

I stare at the ghostly faces embracing each other

Eyes locked, hands laced, lips touching in quiet whisper

My eyes stare, my hands in fists, my lips soured

I felt that before, felt what before

A warm heartbeat, chilling ice

Why?

As I walk past the thrift shop, I see

The dusty frames that held

It would fit

The picture of us in the fire

Burned.

My ipod has been missing for the last few day and every time I’ve looked for it, I keep finding a whole bunch of other stuff I’ve lost. So it inspired me to write this. : )
Sorry I haven’t been doing as many requests lately, really busy with Posted Poems and my upcoming book release. Also, I know I’ve been slow with returning messages so please be patient with me, I’ll get there eventually ♥
